The PVC 45° wye fitting Ø 2” by Sistem Air is a key element in the design and installation of central vacuum systems that require optimised airflow and efficient distribution across the network.
Perfect for creating stable and secure deviations in the piping, the 45° wye fitting is engineered for precise connections, simplifying installation and enhancing the overall performance of the system.

System branching and airflow direction
- Creating multiple inlets: To expand the system, the main line can be divided using 45° FF or MF wye fittings. This allows you to split the installation horizontally—creating several inlets on the same floor—or develop vertical risers to extend the system across multiple levels.
- Multi-level installations: In multi-storey buildings, you can create a single vertical riser with horizontal wyes on each floor, or multiple lines converging into a single collector at the central unit. The total number of wyes required will always be one less than the total number of inlets (for example, 5 vacuum inlets require 4 wye fittings).
- Airflow direction: It is essential to install the fitting following the correct airflow direction, indicated by the ➜ symbol. Incorrect installation may cause clogging and compromise system performance.
